It’s her vision to spin basic fashion into a way to highlight happiness as a key to making all women feel confident and beautiful. With Shalon on board, she was able to inject her heart, soul, and personality into the brand. Ben’s good friend, Shalon Whitgob, was enlisted for some advice and soon joined the team as their secret weapon a woman’s perspective, knowledge, and voice. ![]() They had all the technical and operational details handled but knew they were missing an important piece in connecting with their customer base and making the business something awesome. And so it started.Ģ014: Sidney and Ben continued to tinker with the business model - improving the web site, hiring some help, sourcing inventory, and streamlining logistics. ![]() This was all the validation they needed to confirm the market wanted this service! The guys bought a little bit of inventory, printed up some return labels, added some actual stamps inside the package for returns, and sent them off in super boring brown mailers. To their amazement, with just a little advertising customers began to sign up. Enlisting the help of his friend, Ben Munoz, they published a simple WordPress site to begin collecting customer style preferences, shipping details, and payment information. Sidney recognized that a market existed and the solution was simple - create a personal styling service using the internet to reach ladies just like Nadine. Who could afford that? A personal shopper was a reality for very few women, but the pair agreed that the need existed for the everyday girl. ![]() We want to make our customers smile every time they open their mailboxes and see a bright pink package waiting for them! Thank you for being a part of this! WELCOME!!Ģ013: After hearing his fiance, Nadine, complain about shopping being a necessary hassle in order to have the clothes she loved, Sidney Williams thought there must be a better way! Curiosity lead Sidney and Nadine to research the possibility of a personal stylist and also lead to complete shock at the going rate. A week later I received another email from then stating they wanted to give me a $25 credit if I came back!! I replied NO and to take me off their mailing list!! A month later I'm looking over my bank account,$279.Our mission is to build a great company and spread happiness and fun to our customers!! We want to build a company that employees love to work for and customers love to buy from. And they wanted $38 for a set of earrings and $38 for a bracelet, which I never asked for either, but was added to bill!! I sent items back( which they stated you only have 3 days to return, once received!! I live in MN they are in Texas!!!) I sent back at 5 day mark( my mom became I'll with cov'd, was very busy) They received everything back and we're not going to refund me!!! After a bunch of emails back and forth, a nice guy finally did refund me and accepted my cancellation. Underwhelming.ĭO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!! The clothes I received didn't even come close to what I was supposed to get!!! The sizes were all wrong!! They sent jewelry that you could get at the dollar store, 3 for $1. The pics are tiny and hard to see any detail, and googling the item names has no results. I can log into my account and see what's coming - a necklace, a bracelet, some red baggy looking pants, and a black tank top. I'm used to Amazon Prime and quick shipping from other retailers, so waiting 2 weeks for a shipment just seems crazy. I've been communicating with Nadine West about it, I've gotten a $3 discount if I end up keeping something - but I'm overall just not impressed. I'm still waiting for the package - ordered around March 14, estimated arrival date is March 29th. Semi-Update: I went ahead and ordered a package, I figured it was no risk with the free shipping. But Nadine West has a free box code, so I figured I would give it a try. I got a few things I loved, but a lot of overpriced stuff that wasn't my style at all. Has anyone tried Nadine West? I was pretty unimpressed with Stitch Fix, and I feel like they had a lot more information about me. ![]()
